When I was asked me to create a film based around a complicated friendship, I was drawn to the idea of exploring an older friendship. I traveled to Hampton Memory Care in Vancouver, WA to meet Don and his wife Nancy who live with dimentia. I found that Nancy was gradually declining, and the couple had met an unexpected friend named Vicki who recently lost her husband and moved into the memory care facility. I became very curious about the parallelism that inadvertently bonded their friendship, as I watched Don and Vicki begin to recollect old memories during their conversations. Together Don, Nancy and Vicki have formed a wonderfully complicated friendship...throughout the many stages in life, the only constant is change and friendship helps get you through those times. FRIENDSHIP (Logline) Don, Nancy and Vicki have formed a wonderfully complicated friendship dealing with love, loss, and dimentia...throughout life, the only constant is change and friendship helps get you through tough times, at any age.
